Your consultation will have several different aspects to it. We will keep you informed throughout the consultation but if you have any questions at any time feel free to ask.

The outline of your consultation is shown below but each consultation is unique to the individual.

  • Introduction & Full Case History Taken - this will include aspects of your medical, social and sporting history etc.
  • Discussion - after the case history has been taken, it is likely that your Osteopath will want to discuss with you their thoughts about the cause and a plan of action
  • Examintion - an examination will usually include a combination of medical tests such as blood pressure assessment and a full Osteopathic examination.
  • Diagnosis & Discussion - after your Osteopath has completed their examination, they will be able to discuss with you the diagnosis and treatment plan.
  • Treatment - an appropriate treatment plan will be started to restore you back to health as quickly as possible.
  • Post-Treatment Advice - it is likley that your Osteopath will give you advice on such things as rehabilitative exercises, work station ergonomics and hydrotherapy etc.
  • You can be assured that you will receive the best clinical care and service at all times.
